TRC is a small, boutique Recruitment and HR Consultancy working with businesses across Zimbabwe. We are not a big recruitment machine, but rather a handful of highly trained Consultants operating with a select few clients as an extension of their business. It’s our consultative approach that sets us apart and cements our reputation in the market.

Our loyal and diverse client base come from a vast array of industries including FMCG, Agriculture, mining, manufacturing, retail, creative and service industries.

We look to build long term relationships with candidates (job seekers) and really getting to know their background and aspirations and assist them in finding their dream job. We ultimately become career partners with our candidates supporting them for years to come.

Shay Pio

Shay boasts nearly 20 years within the field of HR and recruitment and has a deep passion for helping Zimbabwean companies grow.

She went to University in Australia where she studied Politics and Journalism, after which she moved to London and spent 10 years working for a highly reputable search and selection firm under a leading Organisational Psychologist. In London, Shay held a client portfolio of over 100 clients including investment banks, Private Equity, insurance, retail, fashion houses and more. With her valuable experience in hand, Shay moved back to Zimbabwe where her heart was and founded The Recruitment Company (TRC). Shay’s drive was to establish a robust recruitment firm that was underpinned with in-depth screening processes including psychometric testing. With an array of service offerings, Shay has continued to develop the business, bringing in and utilising the talent and expertise of her team.

Shay is known for her ability to design tailor made Team Building and Strategy Days that directly complement a business and enhance performance. Deeply committed to her candidate’s careers, Shay has a desire to help job seekers find a truly fulfilling career opportunity. Equally so, she values getting to know her client’s business intricately in order to be a part of building their successful teams.

Natasha Zelow

Natasha holds a Master’s in Organisational Psychology and with 10 years of experience in people and culture she is an asset to the TRC team.

With a passion for people and a desire to add value to those around her she is committed to building long lasting working relationships. Skilled in employee engagement, talent management, organizational development, human resources, performance management, team building, leadership and psychometrics she is well equipped to assist organisations in their needs. Her easy-going nature and professionalism is why our clients love working with her.

She prides herself on finding skilled individuals that are the best fit for the organisation. In addition to this, she values placing candidates in roles that will build on their learning and development, which ultimately brings a positive influence to the organisation’s performance and culture. 

Gertrude

Holding a Master’s in Applied Accounting as well as being ACCA certified, Gertrude is a highly energetic and methodical Financial Accountant. With more than six years experience, she is instrumental in preparing and analysing TRC’s financial records. She is recognized for her ability to balance financial considerations with business needs and values efficiency.

Gertrude has demonstrated expertise in ensuring that all statutory and tax compliance requirements of the company are met.

She is positioned for success and prepared to “go the extra mile” to achieve our objectives.

Yolanda Bunnett

Yolanda was educated in South Africa and has multiple Business diplomas for Marketing Management and Aviation. She attended Cape Technikon before spending 11 years in the Middle East, gaining valuable experience and specialising in Customer Service Training with a well-known, award winning airline.

Yo has gained an acute sense for detail, personal presentation, and interactive skills. She is ILM (Institute of Leadership & Management) certified as well as an ACE (American Council Exercise) personal Fitness trainer.

Yo’s passion and experience in customer service and cabin crew trainer recruitment ensure she is diligent and proficient in finding the right person for your employment.

Willard Nyahumbi

Willard is a highly motivated and results-driven recent graduate with a passion for talent acquisition and recruitment. With a strong academic background in Human Resources and a keen eye for identifying top talent, he brings a fresh perspective to the recruitment industry.

Joining the team as a Junior Consultant and HR Admin with a strong work ethic and a dedication to continuous learning, he is poised to make a significant impact in the field of recruitment. Tatenda

Tatenda is a dedicated consultant at TRC. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

He was recognized as the” Most Outstanding Student” in the School of Business and achieved top honors, graduating in the top 5% of his class. With a diverse background in human resource management, operations, and finance, Tatenda brings a unique blend of skills and expertise to the recruitment industry.

His exceptional ability to connect with people, strategic mindset, and commitment to excellence make him a valuable asset to our team.

Jaime

Jaime is our Business Development Manager at TRC. She brings extensive experience in the Not-for-Profit sector and a strong passion for connecting talented individuals with meaningful opportunities.

With a proven track record in recruitment and a natural ability to build relationships, Jaime is dedicated to driving growth and forging valuable partnerships. With over 15 years of experience Jaime has a wealth of understanding into the industry’s unique challenges and the specific needs of employers and job seekers.

Jamie’s exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to understand individual motivators makes her a skilled professional in identifying top talent. As the Business Development Manager, Jaime leverages her industry knowledge and strategic mindset to identify new business opportunities and nurture client relationships.

Sasha Vernon

Sasha has a Bachelors degree in Ergonomics and Industrial psychology from Rhodes University in South Africa and a Masters in Supply Chain Management from Kedge Business School in France.

A number of years working across various industries namely in the logistics and stock management field has enabled Sasha to intuitively target specific needs in various industries and thus she consults with TRC to identify talent that best matches clients needs in these domains.
